Introducing Caffè Pertè Specialty Coffee Costa Rica Miele, from the beautiful countryside of Costa Rica. The name “Miele” refers to the fact that the coffee beans are dried using the honey process, which gives it a unique character.

In this process, the pulp of the fruit is removed, but the pectin layer of the raw coffee bean remains. The sweet taste is determined by the amount of sticky pectin layer present in the coffee bean. Therefore, it is a very precise process to determine exactly how much pectin remains, as this affects the taste of the final coffee. Generally, the more pectin left, the sweeter the coffee.
